Restorative yoga is a gentle, replenishing practice that allows your mind and body to completely relax into the postures through the use of props (blocks, blankets, bolsters, straps, etc.) that support the body in the poses with ease. All levels of practitioners are welcome, as this supportive atmosphere allows the positions to be held longer without effort and exertion, allowing the body to fully release into each posture. This allows the central nervous system to shift into parasympathetic mode activating our relaxation response to promote total relaxation, the reduction of stress and fatigue, and restoring the body’s natural immune responses.
Practicing restorative asanas while being immersed in sacred sound is deeply relaxing and a potent way to consciously work through blocks and tension held in the body.
This workshop will provide an introduction to restorative yoga and the healing powers of sound, a complete 90-minute pampering practice, and tips for incorporating restorative yoga and sound techniques into your own practices.
It’s time to restore, relax, and de-stress! Do not delay as space is limited and this workshop has sold out in the past.
Yoga teachers will received 2.25 hours of CE credit through
the Yoga Alliance.
